Lessons in Motion
Hello!
I have neglected this publication a bit, mostly due to time (or more accurately, the lack of it).
Without going into a long introduction, you can read my latest post by clicking on the button below. If you want to know why I am sending you to a website to read my latest post, keep scrolling.
Not helping my cause of writing more is the fact that I have some issues with Substack itself, which are nothing new… The interface can be a bit limiting as there is no API access, it does not integrate with anything, you can not use canonical links, SEO sucks, etc. Its not the end of the world, but it is also not ideal either.
At the same time, I like the simplicity, the discoverability and I read so many publications here. Its nice to be a part of this eco system, despite it’s limitations.
Where am I going with this? I decided to do things a bit differently and instead of trying to find one tool to rule them all, which I know is never going to happen, use a few tools in a way that works for me. I learned this lessons the hard way over the years through my business!
Website
Its new, and as always, a bit of a work in progress. The website will be my online home and I am in the process of setting everything there…

Beehiiv
How dare I mention the newsletter competition on Substack, right?! Well, what Substack does poorly, they do well (and vice versa, to be fair). They give me API access, I can easily publish to both a Beehiiv publication and my website without risking duplicate content, you still get posts in your inbox if you desire, and a few other small things.
The downfall? The discoverability is not the same, which I know is by design for them. I am not sure which one is better, to be honest, so this is also kind of an experiment to see what works best for my use case.
From your end (the reader), you have the option. You can get my content delivered to your inbox through here (Substack) or my website / Beehiiv. The choice is yours, isn’t that nice?
The Posting Flow
My posting flow is going to look something like this:
1) Publish a post via my website first → 2) It then gets emailed via Beehiiv to those subscribed via that platform → 3) Post a summary of the post here and send to all of you here.
Despite being a 3 step process, its actually pretty straight forward flow. Time will tell if it will have the designed results.
So, what does that mean for you?
You can stay here and get posts delivered to your inbox with an introduction and a link to read the full post on my website.
You can jump ship and get emails through Beehiiv by clicking here.
You can also do both, but I am guessing you have enough emails in your inbox, so I’m not sure I recommend that.
See you soon,
Noa
